“Evolution of The Black Woman”

This is part of a conceptual photo series I shot. I’m pretty proud of the team that put this together.  For me, it’s an open-ended meditation on the tearing down of self-image and identity as well as the struggle back to recognition and appreciation of the natural beauty that was always there

Bad Gal

I had a fun time re-connecting with Model Cheyenne Summer. The inspiration behind our collab was a set of Rihanna’s photos done by the infamous Terry Richardson. Think, Vintage polaroid, a splash of fashion, with a hint of Bad Gal and there you have it.  Cheyenne has the looks and attitude to pull this off perfectly. I originally met her years ago as a model shooting for a fashion show ad campaign. Even then she had a flair about her that worked well in front of the camera.  I can say one of the most enjoyable things about my career is seeing the growth of people around me as I go. I’m proud that she’s still working and of her progress and I look forward to shooting more with her in the near future.

Happy New Years

The importance of doing what you love is something that can never be over-stated in my world. For us “creative types” it’s as essential as food & water. For myself, I am starting the new year out feeling very nourished. It is the 1st week of a new year. and I ended my 2016 with an awesome session for my good friend photographer/model/Mogul Josh then started my 2017 with a shoot for a new client, aspiring model Erika. If this is any indication  2017 gonna be pretty Dope! Cheers!!!!
